Diet Intro - Keto!
So here we are: I, Paul, am overweight. Standing at 5’10” and weighing in at 260lbs (290lbs at my heaviest), I need a change that is repeatable day to day. I have had success to the tune of 30lbs at a time with the Ketogenic diet and if I can stick to the plan long term I will absolutely meet my goal of losing 100lbs in a short amount of time.
So how do I “do keto”?
- Keep intake under 20g carbohydrates per 24hr period.
- Dont fall in to eating only dairy or meat. Keep it balanced with fiberous greens, oils, and fatty meats.
- Track calories.
- Amp up effectiveness with 16/8 intermittent fasting.
Why Keto?
Other than the obvious weight loss benefits, I prefer the Keto diet because of how well my brain runs on ketone bodies. Its like a second-tier power that “Bacon-Man” would have if he were a superhero. This is purely n of 1 first hand experience, but my ability to speak, write code, and focus on tasks is drastically increased while in deep Ketosis.
