Welcome back to another installment of our Debt-Free Journey!

July was a whirlwind with baby preparations and frugality. We had a bunch of frugal wins, namely Seeing James Taylor for a total cost of $50 for two people!

Our Transportation budget was bloated this month since we made a trip to Mrs Does Things’ relatives for a cookout and in the same weekend attended a wedding! So make that Transportation AND Gifts budget line items BLOATED!

Despite all of that we were able to put $3417 toward our target debt, my Discover student loan! For those of you playing along at home, our current balance on that loan is $7583 and our target payoff is 10/19!

I’m going to keep on pushing on reducing expenses to help accelerate debt pay-down and Mrs Does Things is going to keep taking extra per-diem work while pregnant which we expect to make this whole process go SO much faster.
