Bring on the baby showers!

We are fortunate to have so many people who care for us and our little guy. While he isn’t here yet, we were showered with just about everything we need for him! He’s going to be one spoiled boy!

Still on the list are a Crib and dresser (with a changing table) and consumables like burp cloths and of course DIAPERS!

I have all the spreadsheets updated and even created one to estimate costs for my little human. You can check it out HERE

As you may know we have 2 dogs and one of them had to go in for surgery after developing a growth. We have been lucky with pets and have never felt the need to have pet insurance. Does anyone out there in reader-land recommend it? Anyway that was about $550 after a $150 diagnostic.

Later on in August we had the opportunity to go to a pre-season New England Patriots game (which we hardly ever get to do) so we jumped on it! What a beautiful night! 6 Rings Wooo!

So despite running around to New Jersey, Brooklyn, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and everywhere in between we still managed to make tons of progress on my Discover student loan! In August our debt pay down on the Discover loan was $2420.

We were about $1k shy of last month’s pay down because we traveled alot and we had one less paycheck than last month. One of us has bi-weekly payroll and last month was 3 pay month!

Discover Loan current balance: $5163

Thanks for checking out our debt free journey! If you got value from this or just like checking in with us, please let us know! We love to hear what our readers are up to!
