Debt Free Journey Update - September 2019
More baby showering? Yeah last one though. We got the crib and dresser and are making the final touches on the nursery!
Frugal win: I picked up a bassinet on Facebook marketplace for 1/3 the normal price, AND it came with extra sheets! I am NEVER paying full price for baby stuff again!
UPDATE: Immediately after writing this, Mrs. Does Things and I went to Target and paid full price for a DockATot baby pillow.
At any rate, we are READY! Bring on the BOY! Oh and no sleep, reduced income, increased expenses, reduced debt pay-down, etc…
Life is great right now though and I’m happy to report that our Discover loan is down to $2828! We paid down $2580 this month!
Our big hinderance this month was our leased vehicle was in disrepair and we needed to start getting ahead of some of the major line items that would fall on our plate when it comes time to turn it back in April 2020. So this month we got front brakes, tires, and I spent about 8 hours detailing the seats, trim, rugs, and mats. I dont want to get rid of it now!
Do you have advice negotiating on a lease turn in? I would LOVE to hear from you! Let us know at pauldoesthingsblog@gmail.com!
Thanks for checking out our debt free journey! If you got value from this or just like checking in with us, please let us know! We love to hear what our readers are up to!
